Terms of Service

1) The Service

Kingsland Park provides a private, authenticated space for posts, comments, reactions, and related community features. Kingsland Park is not affiliated with the Kingsland Park HOA or any homeowners association. It is not intended for emergency communications. For emergencies, call 911 or local services.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. You must also be a resident or otherwise authorized to participate in this neighborhood community.

3) Accounts and Security

• You are responsible for activities under your account.
• Do not share credentials or attempt to access another user's account.
• We may take steps to protect the community, including rate limiting and abuse prevention.

4) Community Standards

You agree to follow:

• Acceptable Use (/acceptable-use)

You are responsible for content you post. Do not post illegal, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or rights-infringing content.

5) Content You Post

• You keep ownership of what you post.
• You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and distribute your content within the platform as needed to operate the service.
• You understand that content may be visible to other authenticated members.

Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.

6) Moderation and Enforcement

We may remove content or restrict accounts if we believe content or behavior violates these Terms, the Guidelines, or could harm the community. We are not obligated to monitor everything. To report abuse, email rvaanthony@gmail.com.

7) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, for violations or to protect the community/platform. You may stop using the service at any time.

8) Disclaimers

We are not affiliated with the Kingsland Park HOA or any homeowners association. HOA matters (e.g., covenants, dues, official HOA rules) are handled by the HOA, not this platform.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION, OR THAT CONTENT WILL NEVER BE LOST.

9) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from claims arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11) Third-Party Services

Sign-in and hosting may rely on third-party providers. We are not responsible for their services or outages.

12) Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Chesterfield County or the Richmond area, or in the state or federal courts of Virginia.
